Hormuz to remain closed until US aggression ends: IRGC

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until the US aggression and hostility end, Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera reported on Wednesday (July 15).
In a statement, the IRGC claimed that the US had attacked Iranian military bases under the pretext of targeting ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. However, the force alleged that Washington had taken the step to cover up its own “failure and incompetence”.
The statement also said that no ship dared to enter the Strait of Hormuz in violation of the blockade imposed by Iran. Not even a single ship tried to coordinate with the US. Therefore, the IRGC claimed that no ship was hit in the operation.
