Hasnat-Sarjis could not become student advisors due to disloyalty to the mass uprising: Rashed

Prime Minister’s Political Assistant Md. Rashed Khan has claimed that Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP) leaders Hasnat Abdullah and Sarjis Alam were ‘disloyal’ to the mass uprising. And that is why they could not become student advisors. He made this claim in a post on his verified Facebook account today, Tuesday (July 28).
Rashed Khan said, ‘NCP had taken up a program called ‘July Padayatra’ in July to commemorate the Awami League murder trial and martyrs. But their leaders do not talk about the justice of Awami League, they are constantly threatening the fall of BNP or a mass uprising against BNP.’
He also claimed that the matter has become clear from a recently leaked audio of NCP leader and MP Hannan Masud. Referring to the audio, Rashed Khan said that there are some statements that indicate that Hasnat and Sarjis worked for the Awami League during the uprising.
He also wrote in the Facebook post, “Nahid Islam became the number one coordinator and Asif Mahmud the number four coordinator, but despite being the number two and three coordinators, Sarjis and Hasnat could not become advisors.”
According to Rashed Khan, on the night of August 7, a student advisor told him, “Hasnat-Sarjis betrayed the nation.” Based on that statement, he claimed that they did not get the opportunity to become student advisors because they betrayed the uprising. However, he commented that Asif Mahmud became a student advisor despite being behind them.
