Domestic worker dies after falling from building in Gulshan

A domestic worker named Swapna has died in Gulshan of the capital. She died after falling from the third floor at around 5 pm on Monday (July 20). Police said that domestic worker Swapna had come to the city from her village home for work just three days ago. However, she expressed her reluctance to work in the house in Gulshan.
Police also said that the person who hired Swapna was supposed to pick her up on Tuesday afternoon. But when the scheduled time passed, Swapna jumped through the pocket gate of the balcony window of the third floor. She was seriously injured in the fall and was taken to the hospital where the doctor on duty declared her dead. Meanwhile, the police said that an investigation is underway to find out the real cause of the incident.
