Bodies of two unidentified women recovered from Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) emergency department
The bodies of two unidentified elderly women (estimated ages 60 and 58 years respectively) have been recovered from the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). Their bodies were recovered from behind the DMCH One Stop Crisis Center on Monday (July 27) morning.
DMCH Ward Master Ayub, who recovered the bodies, said that they were found lying sick and unconscious on the road behind the Emergency Department’s Office of Emergency Services (OCS) building at around 10 am today. Upon learning of the matter, the DMCH authorities rescued them with the help of the camp police and took them to the emergency department, where doctors declared them dead after examinations.
It is initially believed that the two deceased were vagrants. Dhaka Medical College Hospital Police Camp Acting Inspector Md. Quoting a doctor, Farooq confirmed the deaths and said that two bodies have been kept at the morgue of the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy. Efforts are underway to identify the deceased. He said that Shahbagh police station has also been informed about the matter.
