Attacks on Iran to intensify next week: Trump
US President Donald Trump has warned that US attacks on Iran will intensify next week. This information was reported by Iran International in a report based on an interview with Trump aired on Fox News on Thursday (July 16).
Trump said that even if Tehran returns to talks, he will launch military strikes on Iranian power plants and bridges. Meanwhile, CENTCOM said that at 4 pm on Tuesday, US forces resumed a naval blockade on ships passing through Iranian ports and coastal areas and more than 20 US Navy warships and hundreds of military aircraft have been deployed across the Middle East.
On the other hand, India and New Zealand have summoned senior Iranian diplomats over the escalation of tensions in the Strait of Hormuz and attacks on commercial vessels. The two countries have called for de-escalation of tensions in Hormuz.
US military personnel and contractors in the Middle East were targeted in a coordinated phone-tracking campaign before and during the Iran war, the Financial Times reported on Tuesday, citing telecom data, cybersecurity experts and officials familiar with the matter.
