A Chinese national married a woman in Phulbari. After a month and a half of marriage, the housewife ran away. It is learned that she divorced the foreigner and married a young man from Gaibandha.
On Monday afternoon (June 22), Chinese national An Hongwei came to his in-laws’ house in Dharmapur village of Phulbari upazila in search of his wife Morsheda Begum. When the news of the foreign national’s presence spread, a crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of her.
Later, he went to the police station and filed a complaint alleging that his wife had disappeared with money and important documents. However, since the incident took place in the Savar area of ​​Dhaka, the police advised him to contact the relevant police station. An Hongwei said that Morsheda had disappeared with about 2.4 million US dollars. In addition, her important documents were also lost.
He claimed that Morsheda had married another man without formally divorcing her. In this incident, he has also accused Morsheda’s family of cheating and said that their entire family is working as a fraud ring.
Morsheda, a resident of Dharmapur area, met An Hongwei while working in a garment factory in Savar, Dhaka. Later, they developed a love affair and got married. The couple was supposed to go to China on May 30.
But Morsheda, out of curiosity, divorced her Chinese husband and went to the Kazi office of Faridpur Upazila of Pabna on June 12 and married Nasim Mia, son of Firoz and Nashrin couple of Gidari village of Gaibandha Upazila. The Chinese young man is the son of Anjifang and Mengfengjiao couple, residents of Zhaozhentun village, Datun town, Zhaozhentun village, Shan Dong No. 088, Zhaozhentun village, Zhaozhentun province of that country.
Morsheda could not be contacted for comment on her Chinese husband’s cheating. Phulbari Police Station OC Mahmud Hasan Naeem said that the Chinese national came to the police station. Initially, it was learned that the alleged incident took place in Savar, Dhaka. Therefore, he was advised to contact Savar Police Station.
