8 injured in clash between Argentina and Brazil fans in Narayanganj

A clash occurred between Argentina and Brazil fans in Fatulla, Narayanganj. Houses were vandalized and cocktails were burst. At least 8 people from both sides were injured. The incident took place in Hajiganj on Monday (July 20) at around 10 pm.
Locals said that after Brazil lost in the World Cup, an Argentine supporter, Habib, had an argument with a Brazilian supporter. When Messi lost to Spain in the final, some Brazilian fans, including Apurba, supported Habib.
As a result, Habib and a few others attacked Apurba’s house and his own house with domestic weapons at night. At that time, a clash started between the two parties. Houses were vandalized. Several cocktails were also burst. Later, the police went to the spot and brought the situation under control. The police said that legal action will be taken after the investigation.
