6 BNP leaders expelled
The Upazila BNP has expelled 6 leaders for behaving indecently with teachers and students after not being invited to a school farewell ceremony in Gazipur’s Sreepur. Their expulsion was announced in a notice signed by Sreepur Upazila BNP convener Abdul Motaleb and member secretary Khairul Kabir Mandal Azad on Wednesday (April 22).
The notice said that the expelled ones created an unwanted incident at the farewell ceremony of SSC candidates of Banshbari Adarsh High School in the upazila on April 19 and behaved very indecently with the teachers. The video of this incident spread on social media, severely damaging the party’s image. These activities are against the party’s ideology, goals and interests and constitute extreme breach of discipline.
Therefore, the 6 accused BNP leaders have been expelled for life from all posts in Gazipur Union, including primary membership. The expelled members are: Former General Secretary of Ward No. 1 of Gazipur Union BNP Md. Sarwar Awal, former organizing secretary Abdul Mannan Master, former joint secretary Hasmat Ali Hasu, former members Arman Ali, Md. Mahbub Alam and Rafiqul Islam.
