1 killed in attack in Bogra over goat eating grass
A meat vendor was killed in Bogra’s Dupchanchia over eating grass. The deceased is the son of Ahmed Ali of Jhajira village in Gunhar union of the upazila. The incident took place at around 9 pm on Monday (May 18) in the Bengali Bazar area of Jhajira.
Locals said that yesterday morning, a goat belonging to deceased Manik’s brother Bulun Chowdhury entered the grassland of local youth Kakarul. An argument started between the two parties over eating grass in the morning. After the incident, when Manik went to Jhajira Bengali Bazar last night, accused Kakrul and his nephew Rezaul and a few others got into an argument with Manik over eating grass.
At one point, they attacked Manik with a metal object. Later, locals quickly rescued the seriously injured Manik Chowdhury and took him to Dupchanchia Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.
