US media claims that the US has stopped the attack on Iran

US President Donald Trump has ordered a temporary halt to military strikes on Iran. US media reported this news citing sources in The New York Times and Axios.
Quoting Trump administration officials, The New York Times said that if the war intensifies after 13 days of continuous attacks, the US Patriot missile defense system and other air defense weapons deployed in the Middle East could be dangerously exhausted. The US wants to stop the attacks out of concern.
The report said that Trump decided to stop the attacks after a meeting with his top advisers and senior cabinet members last Friday (July 24). On the other hand, Axios, citing two sources who did not want to be named, said that it is not yet clear whether this decision is just a temporary pause or a long-term suspension of attacks. However, the US is not attacking Iran for now.
The Axios report said that Trump’s decision creates more opportunities for diplomatic efforts on the one hand. On the other hand, the US is considering it a success until major military operations resume. However, sources claim that the US military is already preparing alternative plans to resume major military operations if necessary.
