Narendra Modi invites Tarique Rahman to BRICS summit

In a bid to thaw the ice between the two neighbouring countries, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to attend the BRICS summit to be held in Delhi. The 18th BRICS summit will be held in New Delhi from September 12-13. The host country can invite various foreign countries as special guests to this summit of 11 member countries.
According to Indian media reports, journalists on Thursday (July 23) asked Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaid Islam about inviting the Bangladeshi Prime Minister this time. In response, he said, the invitation came from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we have sent it to the Prime Minister’s Office.
The 18th BRICS summit will be held in New Delhi, India from September 12-13. Despite not being a member state of BRICS, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited the Bangladeshi Prime Minister to attend the summit as a special guest.
Student movements are going on in India. There are many Bangladeshis in the country. Is Bangladesh worried about this? Shama Obaid said, “As a democratic state and a democratic government, Bangladesh wants stability and peace in our region. As a democratic government and state, we hope that India, as the largest democratic government in the world, will understand the position of their people and take swift steps to resolve the problem.”
