Youth hacked to death in Jessore, 1 arrested
A youth was hacked to death by miscreants in Jessore town. The incident took place on Wednesday (July 22) night in the Barandaipara area of the city. Police said that due to dominance in the area and old enmity, the miscreants hacked and seriously injured Shariful Islam Jitu. After receiving information on Triple Nine (999), the police rescued him and admitted him to Jessore Sadar Hospital.
He died on the way to Dhaka for better treatment. The police have arrested one person on suspicion of involvement in the incident. He is being questioned. Law enforcement officials said that there are multiple cases against the deceased Shariful Islam Jitu.
