Brazil’s Casemiro joins Messi’s team

Brazilian midfielder Casemiro has joined Lionel Messi’s club Inter Miami. Miami has signed the Brazilian on a free transfer fee. Inter Miami said the five-time Champions League winner with Real Madrid has signed a contract until the 2027 season, with an option to extend until June 2029.
However, the Miami team has revived an old controversy after it was claimed that Casemiro had ‘discovery priority rights’ with the Los Angeles Galaxy. However, Major League Soccer (MLS) has confirmed that Inter Miami and LA Galaxy have reached an agreement regarding Casemiro’s discovery rights. However, MLS has also stated that the terms of the deal will only be revealed after the investigation into the tampering allegations is concluded.
In January this year, Casemiro announced that he would leave Manchester United when his contract expires on June 30. It was thought that he would join Inter Miami after the 2026 World Cup. That prediction has come true.
