3 passengers of easy bike killed in truck accident in Mymensingh

Three people, including two women, were killed in a truck accident in Mymensingh. Two more were injured in the incident. All the deceased and injured were passengers of a battery-powered easy bike. The accident occurred in front of the truck depot adjacent to the Shambhuganj Rural Electricity Office on the Mymensingh-Kishoreganj road on Tuesday (July 21) afternoon.
The deceased are Abeda Khatun (35), wife of Rafiqul Islam of Raghurampur Majhipara area of ​​Sadar upazila of the district, Sheela Akhter (25), daughter of A. Motaleb of Dadra village of Tarakand upazila, and Debraj Ghosh (35), son of Dilip Ghosh of Jublighat area of ​​​​the metropolis.
Sub-inspector SI Khalid of Mymensingh Kotwali Model Police Station confirmed the death of the three. According to police and local sources, an easy bike with a passenger was heading towards Kishoreganj from Shambhuganj. On the way, a truck coming out of the truck depot next to the rural electricity office on the Mymensingh-Kishoreganj road hit the easy bike.
A man named Debraj Ghosh died on the spot. Four others, including the auto driver, were injured. They were rescued and taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared Sheela Akhter and Abeda Khatun dead. Another seriously injured woman was admitted to the hospital. Meanwhile, the auto driver fled the hospital after receiving first aid.
SI Khalid said that a body has been recovered from the scene and sent to the morgue. In addition, the bodies of the two women who died in the hospital have been sent to the morgue for autopsy. The situation at the scene is normal. Legal action is being taken in this incident.
