State Minister for Youth and Sports Md. Aminul Haque has taken a new initiative to resolve the long-standing safe water crisis of the Urdu-speaking community of Pallabi in the capital. Under his initiative, two deep tube wells have been inaugurated in Pallabi’s Rabeda Camp and Muslim Camp under the program to provide safe and pure water to the Urdu-speaking community living in the camps.
He inaugurated two deep tube wells as the chief guest at a program organized at Pallabi’s Rabeda Camp and Muslim Camp in the capital on Sunday (July 19) morning.
At the time, the State Minister said, safe and pure water will be provided in every Urdu-speaking camp in my constituency. In addition, a program to distribute free medical services and essential medicines throughout the year will also be ongoing.
He said, not only infrastructural development, but also healthcare, safe water, clean environment and awareness raising are being given equal importance to improving the quality of life of the Urdu-speaking community.
Recently, in various seminars, Aminul Haque highlighted the deplorable condition of Urdu-speaking camps in his constituency Dhaka-16 (Pallabi-Rupnagar) and spoke about their rights. Local residents welcomed the initiative to install deep tube wells, saying that they had been suffering from lack of clean water for a long time.
