Debate over implementation of July Charter should end: Mirza Fakhrul

Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister and BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that the debate over the implementation of July Charter should end. He said that an attempt is being made to spread confusion about the July Charter. He said this at the July Martyr Journalist Honor Ceremony organized by the National Editors Council at the Engineers Institution in Ramna, Dhaka on Sunday (July 19) morning.
The BNP Secretary General said that this debate must be resolved through discussions. He also called on the opposition parties to come to the Constitution Amendment Committee. The minister said that the opportunity created through the July Movement to form a new state must be implemented. We have confidence and trust that we will be able to form a state of justice and impartiality. The government is trying to implement the promises made by BNP.
He also said that there have been many movements. This time, it is necessary to introduce such a system for the next generation through discussions in parliament so that they no longer have to walk the path of violence. He called on the opposition to come out of the mentality of opposing everything. Noting that flattery is prevalent in various institutions including the media, Mirza Fakhrul said, “A big revolution is needed to come out of this situation. It is not possible to cleanse the nation from the misdeeds of 16 years in such a short time.”
