Iran claims attacks on US installations in Kuwait and Bahrain

Iran has claimed attacks on US radar and defence installations in Kuwait and Bahrain. The country’s military said the strikes were carried out hours ago as part of the tenth phase of a counter-offensive dubbed ‘Operation Lightning’, Al Jazeera reported.
In a statement carried by state media, the Iranian military said the strikes targeted US radar systems, Patriot defence systems and fuel tanks at the Ali Al Salem base in Kuwait. In a separate attack, the Iranian military also claimed that drones had struck communications systems, radars, Super Hawk radars and Patriot installations used by US forces at the Sheikh Isa base in Bahrain.
Earlier, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) had claimed responsibility for the attacks in Kuwait. According to them, the attack targeted the US military’s C-RAM early warning radar and the assembly point of US troops at Ali Al Salem Air Base.
