Students’ movement in Dhaka: Call to use alternative roads amid heavy traffic jam
Examiners have started a movement in various parts of the country, including Dhaka, demanding the resignation of Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon in protest of organizing HSC exams amid continuous rain and waterlogging. As a result, massive traffic jams have been created on various roads in the capital.
In this situation, the Gulshan Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police has informed in a message that the movement is currently going on in front of Uttara BNS Tower and on both sides of ECB premises and traffic movement on the relevant roads is closed.
As a result, severe traffic jams have been created on the airport-bound section of the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway. A long queue of vehicles has already reached the Kuril flyover. Citizens are being specially requested to use alternative roads if possible. The message said that the traffic police are working tirelessly to keep the situation normal.
