Youth dies in lightning strike in Chuadanga
A farmer named Nazmul Hossain (25) was killed in a lightning strike in Damurhuda upazila of Chuadanga. The incident took place on Thursday (June 25) afternoon while he was cultivating land with a power tiller in the Rudranagar area of the upazila. The deceased Nazmul Hossain is the son of Jasim Uddin of Rudranagar village of the upazila.
Locals said that Nazmul Hossain was cultivating land with a power tiller in the land next to his house this afternoon. At that time, he was seriously injured in a sudden lightning strike. He died on the spot. Later, the matter was reported to the police. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Damurhuda Model Police Station, Mejbah Uddin, said that the process of taking legal action in this incident is underway.
