Youth killed in train accident in Lohagara

A youth was killed in a train accident in the Notun Bazar area of ​​Amirbad Union in Lohagara upazila of Chittagong. The deceased youth has been identified as Md. Tipu (18). He is the son of Md. Shahjahan of Harbang village in Chakaria upazila of Cox’s Bazar. The accident took place on the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar railway line on Tuesday (June 9) evening.
Eyewitnesses said that he was walking on the railway line with headphones on when he was hit by the Cox’s Bazar-bound Probal Express train. Locals rescued him from the railway line in a seriously injured condition and took him to the Lohagara Trauma Center, where the doctor on duty at the emergency department declared him dead.
Lohagara Railway Station Master Didar Hossain said that at the request of the family, the railway police handed over the body for burial without an autopsy.
