Israel has carried out nearly 3,500 strikes despite ceasefire: Lebanese PM

Israel has carried out nearly 3,500 airstrikes and hundreds of controlled demolitions in Lebanon despite a US-led ceasefire, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said. Al Jazeera.
In a message published by the Prime Minister’s Office on social media, he said that from April 17 to June 7, Israel carried out 3,491 airstrikes, 407 controlled demolitions and 6 deadly raids. Several villages in the southern Lebanese border region were completely destroyed in these raids.
He added that Lebanon is trying to maintain the ceasefire. However, recent tensions between Iran and Israel have created a new wave of displaced people, which is putting additional pressure on the country’s capacity to shelter them, as the capacity to shelter them in Beirut, Sidon and other parts of the country has already reached its maximum.
Since the war began on March 2, more than a million people have been displaced in Lebanon due to Israeli attacks and threats of forced evictions, about one-fifth of the country’s total population.
