6 more people die of measles and its symptoms

In the last 24 hours, 6 more people have died of measles and its symptoms across the country. In addition, 1,408 new patients have been identified with measles and its symptoms during this period. This information was given in the regular report of the Directorate General of Health Services today, Wednesday (May 20).
The Directorate General of Health Services said that a total of 3 people have died in the last 24 hours, one each in Dhaka, Sylhet and Khulna divisions. In addition, 2 people have died in Barisal division and one more in Dhaka division during this period. A total of 481 people have died of measles and its symptoms across the country from March 15 to Wednesday.
Meanwhile, 138 new people have been identified with measles across the country in the last 24 hours. In addition, 1,270 more people have developed symptoms of the disease during this period. As a result, a total of 57,856 people have developed measles symptoms from March 15 to Wednesday. With this, a total of 8,067 people have been identified as measles infected during this period.
According to the report of the Directorate General of Health Services, a total of 45,128 people have been hospitalized across the country with measles and its symptoms from March 15 to Wednesday. Of them, 41,120 have recovered and been discharged from the hospital so far.
