Measles outbreak has reduced: Health Minister
Health Minister Sardar Sakhawat Hossain has said that the measles outbreak in the country has reduced and the measles situation will return to normal soon. He claimed that the government has taken the matter seriously and has made quick arrangements for vaccination. Sardar Sakhawat Hossain alleged that there was widespread looting in the health sector in the country during the Awami League government. Even the interim government did not take any action against it.
He said these things while visiting Khulna Medical College Hospital on Wednesday (May 20) afternoon. During this time, he visited the rooms damaged by the fire. The 5-member investigation committee formed in this incident has been asked to submit a report within 24 hours. The Health Minister also said that measures will be taken to quickly assess the damage and add necessary equipment.
It is worth noting that a fire broke out on the third floor of Khulna Medical College Hospital this morning. After receiving the information, the situation was brought under control after an hour with the efforts of 10 units of the fire brigade.
