DMP Commissioner: Police have list of juvenile gangs, drive against them continues
After assuming charge, the new Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, has announced a strict stance against juvenile gangs. He said that the police has a list of juvenile gangs and the drive against them will continue.
He said these things in his first briefing at the DMP Media Center this Wednesday (May 20) morning. The DMP Commissioner said that eighty-six drives are already being conducted to arrest the listed top terrorists. He also said that additional police will be deployed in the capital to strengthen security before Eid.
He said that intelligence surveillance will be increased at animal markets and initiatives are being taken to increase public awareness to prevent robbery and extortion. He also said that incidents like mob lynching cannot be allowed to happen again. He also said that the police are taking a strict stance against the culture of mob lynching.
