Chhatra Dal leader stabbed over drug trade

A Chhatra Dal leader was stabbed in Feni over a dispute over land and drug trade. The incident took place on Monday (May 18) night in the Bogair Ballapukur area of ​​Panchgachhia Union in Feni Sadar Upazila. The injured Chhatra Dal leader is Md. Abtahi Hossain Tahi (20), General Secretary of Mahipal Government College Chhatra Dal. He was rescued with a knife wound on his back and admitted to the hospital. Tahi is the son of Nasir Uddin of Rampur area of ​​Feni Sadar Upazila.
The accused Khurshid was arrested by the police in this incident on Tuesday (May 19) and sent to the court. According to local sources, Tahir had an argument with two people named Khurshid and Maruf from Bogair area over stopping the drug and land trade. At one point, Khurshid stabbed Tahir in the back. At that time, another person named Jabed was injured. Later, locals quickly rescued them and took them to Feni Sadar Hospital.
Mahipal Government College Chhatra Dal President Gazi Salauddin Aman said, “Our college Chhatra Dal General Secretary Abtahi Hossain Tahi has been the victim of a terrorist attack in the Panchgachhia area. We demand a proper investigation into this incident and the immediate arrest of those involved.” Feni District Chhatra Dal Senior Joint General Secretary Kazi Nazrul Islam Dulal told Jugantor that the incident occurred as a result of an argument with two local youths over drug and land dealings. On behalf of the district Chhatra Dal, we are demanding exemplary punishment for those involved in this incident. Feni Model Police Station OC Gazi Muhammad Fouzal Azim said that the accused Khurshid has been arrested and sent to court. Legal proceedings are ongoing in this incident.
