Two brothers killed in land clash in Bogra

Two cousins ​​were killed in a clash over land in Lakshmipur village of Mokamtala union in Shibganj upazila of Bogra. At least four people were injured in the incident. The incident took place on Monday (May 18) at around 8:45 am. The deceased were identified as Yasin Ali (32) of Lakshmipur village and Sumon Mia, son of the owner of the same village.
They are cousins. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shibganj Police Station Sainuzzaman confirmed the matter. According to local sources, Yasin Ali and his uncle Rezaul had been in a dispute over land for a long time. As a result, a clash broke out between the two parties this morning.
At one point, Rezaul’s son Rahat attacked Yasin Ali with a sharp knife and seriously injured him. He was later rescued but died on the way to the hospital. On the other hand, Sumon Mia, who was injured in the clash, was taken to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital where the doctor declared him dead.
Several others were injured in the incident. Some of them are reportedly being treated at a local hospital. Shibganj Police Station OC Sainuzzaman said that the police are working to bring the situation under control immediately after the incident. One person has been detained for questioning in this incident.
