Israeli attacks again in Lebanon, 39 killed
Lebanon has experienced another bloody day amid the ongoing ceasefire. At least 39 people have been killed in attacks in the last 24 hours. The BBC reported this information on Saturday (May 9), citing the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health.
It said that at least 7 people, including children, were killed in an Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) attack on a town in the southern Sidon region of the country. Drones and guided missiles have killed many civilians in other areas. In addition to the destruction of houses, emergency instructions are being issued for locals.
The IDF has intensified its attacks on Lebanon after the second round of peace talks brokered by Washington. The death toll in IDF attacks since the ceasefire has exceeded 500. On the other hand, Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for retaliatory attacks targeting several Israeli areas.
It is worth noting that more than 120 people, including women and children, were killed in Israeli attacks in Lebanon last week. The death toll in Lebanon has now reached 2,795 in this new phase of the conflict, which began on March 2.
