Gold prices have increased again in the country’s market. The Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) has increased the price of a 22-carat gold bhori by Tk 2,216 in the latest bhori. In this, the price of a 22-carat gold bhori has been fixed at Tk 2,44,711. BAJUS gave this information in a notification on Thursday (May 7) morning. The new price is effective from 10 am on that day. Gold will be sold at the same price today, Saturday (May 9).
BAJUS said that the price of pure gold has increased in the local market. As a result, the new price of gold has been fixed considering the overall situation. According to the new price, the price of a 22-carat gold bhori (11.664 grams) in the country’s market will be Tk 2,44,711. In addition, the price of 21-carat gold has been fixed at Tk 2,33,572, the price of 18-carat gold at Tk 2,213 and the price of 18-carat gold at Tk 1,63,063.
Earlier, the last gold price adjustment in the domestic market was made on the morning of May 6. At that time, the company increased the price of 22-carat gold by Tk 2,158 and the price of 18-carat gold by Tk 2,42,495. In addition, the price of 21-carat gold has been fixed at Tk 2,31,472, the price of 18-carat gold by Tk 1,98,405 and the price of 18-carat gold by Tk 1,61,605. Which is effective from 10 am that day.
In this context, the price of gold has been adjusted 63 times in the domestic market so far this year. Where the price has been increased 35 times; reduced 28 times. And in 2025, the price of gold in the domestic market was adjusted a total of 93 times; where the price was increased 64 times and reduced 29 times.
