Gold prices fall further in the domestic market

Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has decided to reduce the price of gold in the domestic market again in a span of 24 hours. This time, the organization has reduced the price of a bhori of 22-carat gold by Tk 2,158 to Tk 2,40,336. BAJUS gave this information in a notification on Thursday (April 30) morning. The new price will be effective from 10 am today.
The notification said that the price of acid gold (pure gold) has decreased in the local market. As a result, the new price of gold has been determined considering the overall situation. According to the new price, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) in the domestic market will be Tk 2,40,336. In addition, the price of 21-carat gold per bhori has been determined at Tk 2,29,430, the price of 18-carat gold per bhori has been determined at Tk 1,96,655 and the price of traditional gold per bhori has been determined at Tk 1,60,146.
Where the price has been increased 32 times; It has been reduced 27 times. And in 2025, the price of gold in the domestic market was adjusted a total of 93 times; where the price was increased 64 times and reduced 29 times.
