Areas where storms and thunderstorms are likely by noon

The Meteorological Department has said that gusty winds of up to 60 kilometers per hour may blow in some areas of the country by noon. At the same time, there is a risk of rain or thunderstorms. This information has been given in the warning issued by the Meteorological Department for the country’s inland river ports until 1 pm today, Wednesday (April 29).
It said that gusty or squally winds of up to 45-60 kilometers per hour may blow from the west or northwest in Rangpur, Dinajpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogra, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet regions. In addition, there is a possibility of temporary rain or thunderstorms in these areas. Therefore, river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1 until 1 pm.
