Afghanistan ready for talks with Pakistan

Pakistan has carried out major airstrikes on several cities in Afghanistan. However, despite all this, the Afghan Taliban is ready to talk to the country. Afghan government spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said that the Taliban leadership is ready to talk to Pakistan to end the conflict. The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has always wanted to resolve the problem through talks and we still want to resolve the problem through talks.
Pakistan carried out attacks on several cities in the country on Friday (February 27). Clashes also continued in border areas. Both sides claimed heavy casualties. Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif called it an ‘all-out war’ and wrote on X (formerly Twitter) that an open war is now underway between the two countries.
Meanwhile, Islamabad claimed that 297 Taliban have been killed so far in Pakistan’s Operation Ghazb-e-Lil-Haq. At least 450 people were injured in the operation. This morning, Pakistan’s Information Minister Ataullah Tarar said that its troops had blown up eight more Taliban checkpoints in the Ariana complex. They had destroyed 135 tanks and armored vehicles.
Islamabad claimed that many Taliban fighters had fled the checkpoints. Airstrikes have been carried out in 29 locations so far. On the other hand, five people were injured in a drone strike in Bannu, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Kabul claimed that 55 Pakistani soldiers had been killed in their attacks so far.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has expressed concern about the ongoing Pak-Afghan conflict. He called for an immediate end to the fighting. UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric urged both sides to abide by international human rights law and ensure the protection of civilians. And the European Council has called on both sides to engage in dialogue, taking into account the humanitarian situation. It has also expressed concern that the impact of the conflict between the two countries could spill over into the entire region.
