A young man died after being run over by a train in the Patgram railway station area of ​​Lalmonirhat. The incident occurred at around 6:15 am today, Thursday (January 29). The deceased was identified as Munna (22), son of Khokon Mia, a cloth merchant from Patgram Bazar.
Locals said that when the Parbatipur-bound local down train number 462, which left from Burimari in the morning, entered the railway station platform, Munna tried to board the train. At that time, he was run over by the train and fell next to the railway track and was taken to the Patgram Upazila Health Complex in a bloody state, where doctors declared him dead.
Patgram Railway Station Master Nur Alam said that one person died while boarding the moving train. The matter has been reported to the GRP police station of Lalmonirhat division. They will take the body for autopsy. Lalmonirhat Railway (GRP) police station OC Pradeep Kumar said that officers have been sent to the spot. Necessary legal action will be taken.
