Hanif could not return home after Fajr prayers
A pedestrian named Abu Hanif Ali (55) died after being hit by an unknown vehicle in Tangail. The accident occurred at around 6:30 am today, Sunday (December 21) in the Jalchhatra (Shelter Center intersection) area of the Mymensingh-Tangail regional highway in Madhupur upazila. The deceased Abu Hanif Ali is the son of the deceased Yasin of Chunia Digalbaid area of Beribaid Union. According to local sources, he was mentally unstable.
Locals said that while returning home after offering Fajr prayers at Jalchhatra Bazar Mosque in the morning, a speeding car hit him from behind. He died on the spot. The car quickly left the scene after the accident. Sub-inspector of Arankhola police outpost Bimal Chanda Pain confirmed the incident and said that a pedestrian was killed after being hit by an unknown vehicle. The body has been recovered and legal proceedings are underway.
