Autorickshaw passenger killed in road accident in Jatrabari

A passenger named Shahin (35) was killed in a CNG-powered autorickshaw accident in Jatrabari in the capital. CNG driver Md. Firoz Mia (45) was injured. The accident took place at a U-turn in front of Matuail Medical College at around 1am on Saturday (December 13). The deceased Shahin is the son of Shamsul Haque of Sanarpar area of ​​Jatrabari.
Local passers-by rescued Shahin and Firoz Mia in their injured condition and took them to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital. There, doctors declared Shahin dead at around 3am. The injured driver Firoz Mia is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital. Confirming the matter, DMCH Police Station Acting Inspector Md. Faruk said, “The body has been kept at the DMCH Hospital morgue.”
