Child killed in Comilla after being run over by AC Land Vehicle

A two-year-old child named Faiza Akhtar was crushed to death under an AC Land Vehicle in Homna, Comilla. The accident occurred on Wednesday (December 3) morning. The deceased child Faiza’s father, Faizur Rahman, is a resident of Terdron village in Ujirpur upazila of Barisal. They lived in a rented house in Homna due to their job.
According to eyewitnesses and local sources, the child’s father, Faizur Rahman, was returning home with two-year-old Faiza in the morning. At that time, the driver of the AC Land Vehicle, Tayobur Rahman, drove the car at a reckless speed and ran over the child.
Later, with the help of locals, the child was rescued and taken to the Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared him dead. The driver, Tayobur, has been absconding since the incident. Despite repeated calls, the police have not received any statement in this regard.
