Bus catches fire in Mymensingh, driver dies after being burnt

A bus named Alam Asia was set on fire by miscreants in Fulbaria, Mymensingh. The driver named Julhas (26), who was sleeping in the bus, was burnt to death. The incident took place in front of the Bhalukjan petrol pump at around 3 am on Monday (November 10).
Locals said that at 2:25 am, the vehicle was parked in front of the petrol pump and the driver Julhas had fallen asleep inside the bus. Suddenly, locals saw the bus on fire. When the fire service and locals brought the fire under control, they found the body of one person inside the bus. On receiving the information, the police recovered the burnt body and brought it to the police station. “One person has died in this incident. However, we are investigating the cause of this incident with great seriousness,” said Mohammad Roknuzzaman, OC of Fulbaria Upazila area.
