Old woman’s throat slit body recovered from her house in Shibchar, Madaripur
Police have recovered the throat slit body of an old woman from her house in Shibchar, Madaripur. The incident took place at around 11 am today (Monday, September 22) in Char Kanchikata village of Umedpur union in Shibchar upazila of the district.
Police and local sources said that when Renu Begum (25), wife of deceased Sadek Howlader, did not answer her mobile phone in the morning, her daughter called her neighbors. Later, the neighbors found Renu Begum’s house locked. Later, they saw her lying on the bed through the window and informed the police.
Later, a team of Shibchar police reached the spot and broke the lock and recovered Renu Begum’s throat slit body from inside the house. At that time, various items were scattered inside the house. They also said that there was a theft in the same house about a month ago. Locals believe that the theft took place after Renu Begum was killed.
On the other hand, police have recovered the body of the deceased and are preparing to send it to the Madaripur morgue after completing the autopsy report, officials said.
