Husband commits suicide after killing wife in Savar

A former husband in Dhamrai has been accused of hacking his wife to death. In this incident, the accused husband Badar Uddin, who was ill, was taken to the hospital and died while undergoing treatment. Initially, the police suspect that he consumed poison after killing his wife. The incident took place in the Kalampur area of Dhamrai on Wednesday (August 20) morning. Locals and police said that Badar Uddin divorced Pinki Akhter, daughter of Ansar Ali of Kalampur, six months ago. On Wednesday morning, Badar Uddin went to his ex-wife’s house to see their 4-year-old child. At that time, Badar Uddin hacked Pinki Akhter to death and himself fell unconscious on the floor of the house. Later, on receiving information, the police reached the spot and took Badar Uddin to the Dhamrai Upazila Health Complex, where he also died while undergoing treatment. Initially, the police suspect that the husband Badar Uddin committed suicide by consuming poison after killing his wife Pinki Akhtar due to a family dispute. However, the police said that the real cause of death will be known after the autopsy and the bodies will be sent to the morgue of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital in the capital for an autopsy.
