Businessman’s butchered body recovered in Gaibandha

Gaibandha Correspondent: Police have recovered the throat slit body of a mobile banking businessman named Nazrul Islam (32) in Gobindaganj, Gaibandha. His body was recovered from the side of a paddy field in Shital village of Nakai union of the upazila on Sunday (August 17). The deceased Nazrul Islam is the son of the deceased Tofazzal Hossain of Kanipara village. Police and locals said that miscreants attacked him on his way home from the shop on Saturday night. At one stage, he was killed by slitting his throat. Locals believe that some mobile banking fraudsters were recently arrested in a joint force operation. Hackers may think that the law enforcement agencies got clues from the transaction information of Nazrul Islam’s shop. The murder may have taken place due to that dispute. Confirming the matter, Gobindaganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Bulbul Islam said that the body of the deceased has been recovered and sent to the morgue. Police are working to uncover the cause of the murder and arrest those involved.
