Two land officers who fled and took bribes after seeing Jamuna TV’s camera suspended
The Deputy Commissioner has suspended two land officers involved in bribery and corruption in Satkhira. They were suspended on Wednesday (July 9) afternoon. Additional Deputy Commissioner Moinul Islam confirmed the matter. Earlier, on May 27, during an ACC raid at the Nagarghata Union Land Office, officer Abdul Mukit hid the bribe money in a dustbin. When asked about this, the officer ran away after seeing the Jumna camera. Meanwhile, Talar Khesra Union Land Officer Shihab Ali, who took bribes after counting, has also been suspended. Satkhira Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Moinul Islam said that two union land assistant officers have been suspended. In addition, departmental action has been taken against them. Investigation activities will continue against them. He also called on the people affected by them to inform the investigating officers in writing.
