Thailand, Cambodia agree to meet in Malaysia for ceasefire

Thailand and Cambodia have agreed to meet in Malaysia to reach a ceasefire agreement. The meeting between the two countries will be held on Monday (July 28) local time under the mediation of Malaysia. A delegation led by Thailand’s acting Prime Minister Phumtham Wechachay will be present at the talks. Malaysia has said that the Cambodian Prime Minister will also participate in the meeting directly. Earlier, US President Donald Trump spoke by phone with the prime ministers of Thailand and Cambodia. He urged the two countries to come to an agreement quickly. However, earlier, on Sunday (July 27), there was overnight shelling in the border areas of Thailand and Cambodia.
