Tarique Rahman himself announces date of return to the country

BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman himself has announced that he will return to the country on December 25. He made this statement at a discussion meeting organized by UK BNP in London on Tuesday (December 16). The discussion meeting was held at the City Pavilion Hall in London.
Tarique Rahman said, “Today’s event is important for two reasons – December 16 is our Victory Day and at the same time, I have been with you in the UK for almost 17 to 18 years. However, I am leaving the country on the 25th, InshaAllah.” At this time, the BNP acting chairman called on the leaders and activists to remain united. He said, “The coming days will not be easy. If we remain united, we will be able to make our plans successful and build the Bangladesh we had hoped for.”
At the meeting, Tarique Rahman requested the leaders and activists of UK BNP not to gather at the airport to bid farewell. He said that no one will be present at the airport on the day of his departure. If the leaders and activists gather at the airport, chaos may arise. There is a risk that this will tarnish the country’s image. Earlier, last Friday, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said in a briefing that Tarique Rahman will return home from London, UK on December 25. Now Tarique Rahman himself has announced the date of his return home.
