Bodies of 6 peacekeepers to arrive in Bangladesh on December 20

The bodies of six Bangladeshi peacekeepers killed in a terrorist drone attack on a UN peacekeeping mission base in the Abyei region of Sudan will reach the country on December 20. This information was given in a press release sent by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) today, Wednesday (December 18).
The ISPR said that 8 peacekeepers of the Bangladeshi army were initially injured in a barbaric terrorist drone attack on a UN peacekeeping mission base in the Abyei region of Sudan on December 13. Later updated information confirmed that one more peacekeeper was injured, taking the total number of injured to 9. All the injured peacekeepers have been ensured the highest level of treatment as soon as possible.
The injured peacekeepers are currently undergoing treatment at the Aga Khan University Hospital (Level-3 Hospital) in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, and one of them has already left the hospital after treatment. At present, all of them are out of danger. The ISPR also said that the bodies of the six peacekeepers martyred in the terrorist attack are scheduled to return to Dhaka on December 20. On December 13, six Bangladesh Army peacekeepers on duty were martyred and a total of nine were injured in a drone attack by a separatist armed group on the Kadugli Logistics Base of the UN peacekeeping mission in the Abyei area of ​​Sudan.
