ABM Khairul Haque is the country’s biggest enemy: Mirza Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that former Chief Justice ABM Khairul Haque is the country’s biggest enemy. He demanded exemplary punishment for him according to the law. He made this statement at an emergency press conference at the BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan on Thursday (July 24) afternoon. The BNP Secretary General said that his verdict on the caretaker government is anti-state. Mirza Fakhrul thanked the government for taking action against him despite the delay. At the same time, opposing the government’s decision to relocate the Shishu Academy, the BNP Secretary General said that demolishing the Shishu Academy building will hinder the intellectual and mental development of children. Earlier, he visited the graves of three children in Uttara. Earlier, the Detective Branch (DB) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested former Chief Justice ABM Khairul Haque from a house in the capital’s Dhanmondi around 8:30 am on Thursday. ABM Khairul Haque was appointed as the 19th Chief Justice of the country on September 27, 2010. His appointment took effect from September 30 of that year. He retired on May 17 of the following year.
