4 BNP leaders expelled
Four BNP leaders have been expelled on charges of being involved in anti-public interest activities including violence, riots and road blockades over the party’s nomination in the Chittagong-4 (Sitakunda) constituency. This information was given in a press release signed by the party’s Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Tuesday (November 4).
The expelled leaders are – Sitakunda Upazila Volunteer Party President Alauddin Moni, General Secretary Helal Uddin Babar, Sitakunda Municipality Convener Mamun and Jubo Dal’s Sonaichhari General Secretary Momin Uddin Mintu.
The notification said that after Monday evening, they (the expelled) indulged in various anti-public interest activities including violence, rioting and road blockades in the Kadamrasul, Bhatiari Bazar, Jalil Gate areas of Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Sitakunda of Chittagong North district over party nominations. For these activities, these four leaders have been expelled from all levels of the party, including primary members.
