Rural policeman dies after being hit by his son

A rural policeman named Banej Uddin (55) died after being hit by his son in Daulatpur of Kushtia district due to an argument between a father and son. The incident took place on Sunday (July 26) at around 9 pm in the Charuikundi area of ​​Ramakrishnapur union of the upazila.
The deceased Banej Uddin is a resident of the same area. According to local sources, his son Rajib had sold buffalo and asked his father for money. But when Banej Uddin refused to pay, an argument started between them.
At one point, Rajib hit his father on the head with a flashlight in his hand, causing him to fall to the ground in a bloody state and suffer serious injuries. Later, locals rescued him and took him to Daulatpur Upazila Health Complex, where he died. Khalidur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Daulatpur Police Station, confirmed the incident.
