Aftab Majumder is the organizer of the Chittagong Metropolitan Committee of NCP and convener of the Bandar Thana Youth Wing. According to party sources, he was also made a member of the central convening committee through an organizational notification signed by member secretary Akhtar Hossain on May 14.
