Israeli forces still not withdrawing from southern Lebanese towns

Reports of Israeli forces withdrawing from various southern Lebanese towns and the Lebanese army regaining control have sparked discontent and confusion. On Monday (July 20), the Lebanese army claimed that it had recaptured areas it had captured and controlled, but the mayor of the Lebanese town of Fron, Hassan Bajji, denied the claim.
In an interview with Al Jazeera, the mayor, Hassan Bajji, said that the Lebanese army had not yet begun deploying troops in the town of Zawtar al-Gharbia, because Israeli forces had not yet fully withdrawn from the outskirts of the town or the border area. He added that these were just words. There had been no new developments or real changes in the town of Fron; the situation remained the same.
However, the pilot zone operation officially began on Monday, aiming to restore regional stability and return the towns of southern Lebanon occupied by Israel.
