Long march towards Secretariat after exams today

HSC examinees will hold a long march towards the Secretariat demanding the resignation of Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon for taking exams in floods and calling students ‘farm chickens’. As per the previous announcement, they will gather in front of Science Lab intersection, Shahbagh, Moghbazar, ECB Chattar and Uttara BNS Center from 1:30 pm today (July 15) after the exams.
They will then hold a long march towards the Secretariat from these places. The Physics Second Paper exam is from 10 am to 1 pm today. However, all board exams in Chittagong have been postponed due to floods.
Earlier, students from various colleges blocked Science Lab intersection at around 11 am last Tuesday. Then they gathered at Shahbagh, Dhaka University and Dhaka Education Board and in the afternoon they gathered at the Parliament Building area. Although the police beat them up and chased them away, they returned to their positions in the evening. Later, at 10 pm, the students announced a program and left the area.
Before lifting the blockade around 10 pm, Miraj, a student of Dhaka City College, gave a final warning to the media and everyone present, saying that if our exams are not postponed by tonight, our long march program towards the Ministry of Education will be implemented tomorrow (Wednesday). He also said, we will all participate in the Wednesday exam. After the exam ends at 1 pm, everyone will participate in this ‘Long March towards the Ministry of Education’ program from their respective places between 3 pm and 4 pm.
S Ahmed Siraj, a class 12 student of Adamjee Cantonment College, who protested in the ECB Chattar area yesterday, told reporters that this movement will continue until our demands are met. However, we do not want to disrupt our studies and exams. Therefore, we will block the road again tomorrow after our exams between 1:30 pm and 2 pm. This program will continue until our demands are met and we will also take regular exams.
