Video of brick hurled at Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s convoy goes viral

A video of a brick-like object being thrown at Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s convoy at Sadhur Bridge in Rajoir Upazila of Madaripur on the way to Barisal has gone viral on social media. It has created a huge stir among the people. However, the police believe that the brick may have fallen off the wheels of the convoy vehicles.
Yesterday, Monday (July 13), the Prime Minister left for Barisal on a southern tour at 8:46 am. While crossing the Sadhur Bridge bus stand on the Dhaka-Barisal highway on the way, while exchanging greetings with BNP leaders and workers, a stone-like object suddenly hit a security force vehicle. After that, the Prime Minister’s convoy naturally left from there.
In this regard, Rajoir Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sheikh Aminul Islam said, “We believe that the brick may have come loose from the wheel of the convoy vehicle. Nevertheless, our investigation is ongoing.”
